Belly Dancing Costumes

Belly Dancing Costumes Biography

I was born as the third child of a Hungarian family. Surprising my parents right at the beginning, as they were expecting a boy. From a very young age I loved to be in the centre of attention, I liked acting, singing, dancing and being naughty. That's why my sister took me to a ballet school, hoping that they can provide me with a strong base for my ambitions. As the years went by, my curious nature has not changed at all! I have studied different styles, such as: jazz and latin dances. When I was eighteen, I've come across belly dancing in Hungary. Six months later I have accomplished Rakujia Hassan and Dr. Mo's masterclass, where I have fallen in love with this style. I have travelled a lot in Egypt and learnt more and more about belly dancing and arabic folklore dances. At the same time I have accomplished a Costume Designer Course for my dad's urge, who reckoned I should have a proper job too.

In 2004, three master teachers and I have established a dance company, called Art of Oriental. During this time, my experiences in regards of directing and choreography have deepened a lot and soon enough, I have established my own dance company with arab boys and hungarian girls. In the same year, I have come second at the Ahlan Wa Sahlan World Competition in Egypt and our oriental dance company has won awards in the best group and choreography category.

In this year a long process, a meaningful journey has begun that has effected my life on both professional and spiritual levels. I wanted to discover why I have chosen this path for myself, this very feminine style even though in my personal life, I was a bit of a tom boy. Perhaps my wide range of interest has motivated me to create my very unique, personal style.
